Training Services

Fitness is much more than just about how you look. It is all about how you feel – healthy, happy, satisfied. I believe in all of the aspects of fitness - health, wellness, nutrition and exercise. My training concepts take all of these elements into play... therefore, each training session is unique depending on how you are feeling that day. My idea is to help you achieve your goals through an individualized program that addresses your specific needs and likes in a fun atmosphere. With my background as a physical therapist assistant, I can provide many modifications to address any specific needs, yet still provide an effective program for you.

Pilates

Pilates is a system of exercises developed by a German man named Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s. Originally designed as a rehabilitative practice on an exercise mat and specialized equipment, Pilates exercises (as they are now known) target the deep muscles of the abdomen and spine to strengthen the body from the inside out in proper alignment. The goal is to achieve a balance of strength and flexibility, a balance of opposing muscle groups and better balance in the body when moving through all of life’s activities.

Muscle Toning

Toning is simply the restoration of muscle and the simultaneous decrease of fat. Every year after the age of 25, the average American gains one pound of body weight, yet loses one third to one half pound of muscle. Consequently, our resting metabolism decreases approximately one half of a percent every year. Proper exercise and sound eating habits can reverse this process.
